New Director of Music Ministries
The Music Search Committee and the Staff-Parish Relations Committee are pleased to announce that Brett Maguire has accepted the position of Director of Music Ministries at Wesley UMC, effective August 1, 2008. Brett has most recently served as Director of Music at a United Methodist Church in Danville, Virginia, and has been the Interim Music Director at Wesley UMC since April, 2008. Please join us in welcoming Brett to our staff.
Position Available: Ghanaian Choirmaster
Wesley UMC is seeking a choirmaster for our Ghanaian Choir. Applicants must be familiar with the solfa method of teaching, and must be able to read musical notation. (more)
Mission Project: Sewing Kits
The Rebecca Circle of the United Methodist Women is launching an exciting mission project: collecting sewing supplies to send to women around the world via UMCOR. Such sewing kits foster independence, allowing women to make clothing in their own size and in the style of their culture. During July, 2008, please consider donating specific sewing necessities to the Circle. Cash or checks are welcome as well!
